Bearded Iris (Iris Germanica) are prized for their brilliant array of colors and hardiness. The "beard" refers to the stamen that appears on the three downward petals called standards. Bearded Iris bloom in summer to fall. Some varieties are reblooming and will give you a show two times per year. Our Irises are shipped as rhizomes that multiply yearly and can easily be divided. They can be planted in fall to allow them to develop a root system before the first frost.
